The interconnection of machines, sensors, and systems through the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), combined with the use of artificial intelligence, is opening up new possibilities in process control, predictive maintenance, and quality assurance.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Today, these technologies represent a key pillar of industrial production \u2013 increasing productivity, safety, and sustainability while enabling more efficient use of resources and reduced costs.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the core of modern automation lies the <\/span><b>Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> This concept connects machines, sensors, and systems into a single, data-driven ecosystem. IIoT data provides real-time insight into equipment condition and production processes, enables predictive maintenance, reduces downtime, and optimises energy consumption.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thanks to sensors, equipment continuously monitors parameters such as temperature, vibration, or electrical current, allowing deviations to be detected and addressed before they affect quality or productivity. The result is higher reliability, improved planning, and more efficient production management. <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.appcz.eu\/en\/\"><b>Automotive Painting Partners (APP)<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> applies these principles across several key areas of operation.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Robotic welding: precision and data combined<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The robotisation of welding processes delivers not only higher precision and repeatability, but also <\/span><b>the ability to monitor<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> every production step in detail. <\/span><b>At APP, we provide comprehensive <\/b><a href=\"https:\/\/www.appcz.eu\/en\/robotic-welding\/\"><b>robotic welding<\/b><\/a><b> services and tailor-made<\/b> <b>solutions<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> \u2013 from individual operations to complete welding of structural assemblies. Our main robotic line is equipped with the latest generation of <\/span><b>Kawasaki<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> welding robots for MIG\/MAG arc welding, complemented by handling robots. <\/span><b>Fronius<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> welding power sources and <\/span><b>Siemens <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">control systems enable online monitoring and real-time communication.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Paint line modernisation: IIoT at the heart of production<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another major step in production digitalisation is the <\/span><b>modernisation of the paint line system at our Nymburk facility<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, introducing IIoT elements directly into the core manufacturing process. Both of our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.appcz.eu\/en\/perfect-surface-pretreatment-ensures-ktl-quality-and-long-component-lifespan\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">cathodic electrocoating (E-coat)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> lines are capable of processing up to <\/span><b>10 million square metres of surface area per year<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, making them among the largest in the Czech Republic. The modernisation will enable comprehensive data collection and evaluation from production operations, allowing us to control processes with even greater precision, respond more rapidly to deviations, and optimise resource utilisation.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Artificial intelligence and predictive analytics<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As the volume of production data grows, <\/span><b>artificial intelligence (AI)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and <\/span><b>machine learning<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> come into play. These technologies transform IIoT sensor data into actionable predictive models \u2013 for example, identifying potential equipment failures or optimising production parameters in real time. AI is also increasingly used in <\/span><b>quality contro<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">l, such as visual inspection of surface treatments.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At APP, AI is currently used primarily for <\/span><b>long-term quality analysis and to support administrative processes, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">where it helps track trends, evaluate production data, and support more effective decision-making.
