This step represents a strategic spin-off and specialisation focused on providing comprehensive solutions for the automotive sector.

APP is successfully undergoing a phase of stabilisation and significant growth. A key milestone was the successful commissioning and stabilisation of the Nymburk plant, which led to a substantial increase in the company’s overall turnover. At the same time, APP has strengthened its market position by establishing itself as a key Tier 1 supplier for a major OEM customer, thereby reinforcing its role as an important partner in the automotive industry.

APP completed the first phase of process centralisation by relocating the filler operations from leased premises in Mladá Boleslav directly to the Nymburk plant. This step reduced logistical complexity and costs while maintaining seamless service quality for customers. Almost simultaneously, in response to continuous production growth and internal capacity limits, the company opened a new logistics centre in Zvěřínek, just 3 km from Nymburk. Through this strategic solution, APP effectively resolved internal logistics challenges and secured robust capacity for future development.

This year marked the permanent shutdown of the zinc plating line (Zn line) in Nymburk. The company made a key strategic decision to focus all its capacities and know-how exclusively on high-end KTL coating solutions for the automotive industry, thereby strengthening its position as a specialist. This strategic move took place amid the global COVID-19 crisis, which required the immediate implementation of strict measures, risk management, and the assurance of supply continuity during a period of extreme market volatility.

Despite ongoing global restrictions and the continuing impact of COVID-19 on supply chains, APP focused on strategic expansion. The company launched work on a major new project for a key OEM customer, significantly diversifying its business activities beyond its traditional cooperation with the VW Group. Securing this contract confirmed that specialisation in KTL technology was the right direction, even during a time of crisis. APP thus became a direct supplier to two different OEMs.

A year of return to normal and operational pressure. As the COVID-19 pandemic gradually subsided, the market began to stabilise; however, APP faced a new and major challenge — the energy crisis. Despite sharply rising costs and market uncertainty, APP demonstrated strong financial resilience and achieved significant business growth. As a result, the Nymburk plant reached full capacity, signalling the need for future expansion.

The entire group, including APP, underwent a major reorganisation with the consolidation of all companies under Colegium Holding. This step formalised relationships between individual entities and strengthened group-wide synergies. In parallel, APP began geographical expansion by opening a second facility in Police nad Metují to broaden its production scope. This provided the company with a 100% backup of its primary technology. The need for additional space also emerged in logistics — as of May 1, 2023, the logistics hub in Zvěřínek was expanded, ensuring full support for the growth of both plants.

APP entered the field of welding for the first time, launching its first project on a welding line. This represents a comprehensive delivery and introduces a new dimension of services provided to a key customer. The expansion was further supported by the establishment of a new company, EA Partners, specialists in automation and Industry 4.0, giving the group internal capacity for innovation and efficiency across all processes.
